Job summary

UC Health is seeking an Access Representative for the UC Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH. You will create Epic accounts from scheduling appointments, collect demographics and insurance details, and ensure accurate primary/secondary/tertiary coverage documentation.

You will answer questions, transfer to the right department, and maintain data quality while meeting productivity and quality standards. This role demands strong communication and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of experience in registration, billing, customer service, or managed care organization preferred.
• Analytical skills; able to problem solve.
• Excellent communication, problem solving skills, and ability to deal with customers who are often adversarial.
• Ability to interact independently to resolve customer service issues.

Responsibilities

• Create Epic accounts from scheduling appointments and collect demographic/insurance information; update and secure accounts.
• Respond to questions about appointments or transfer to the appropriate scheduling department or physician office.
• Code Daily Worklist according to coding standards and ensure consistency with documentation; maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Maintain productivity standards and Patient Accounts Quality Guidelines; report improvements or changes to Department Management; perform other duties as assigned.
