Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Patient Reception Specialist to provide exceptional patient support and ensure a smooth visit experience. You will greet patients, collect payments, verify insurance, and coordinate appointments in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Proficiency with medical terms, CPT/ICD-10 familiarity, and experience with EMR systems are valued. A high school diploma is required, with BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with medical terminology and insurance practices.
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic and patient financial transactions.
• Familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 coding is a plus.
• Proficient with Outlook and practice EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients at check-in and check-out.
• Collect co-pays and reconcile balances at check-in.
• Schedule appointments and follow-ups per policy.
• Validate demographics and insurance information; explain privacy policies.
• Maintain clean, organized reception and waiting areas.
