Job summary

LifeLong Medical Care in Richmond, CA is seeking a Front Office & Eligibility Coordinator for the Jenkins Family Medicine Residency Program. You will greet patients, handle registration, scheduling, and eligibility prep, ensuring smooth clinic flow and accurate data entry.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, excellent customer service, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with healthcare experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Bilingual English/Spanish with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors with warmth and professional conduct.
• Handle patient reception, intake, registration, and scheduling.
• Enter data, scan documents, and validate information in systems.
• Manage patient flow between front and back offices.
• Prepare eligibility information for scheduled clinics ahead of time.
• Answer phones, direct calls, and follow up as needed.
• Collect co-pays and manage cash and deposits.
• Attend eligibility process meetings and share updates with staff.
• Assist patients with referrals to Medi-Cal, CalFresh, and other programs.
• Maintain waiting areas, mail, and front desk supplies.
• Enter templates and generate correspondence as requested.
