UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to support the Patient Access department with special projects, operational reporting, and administrative tasks. You will collaborate with care teams to ensure successful assignments and deliver excellent customer service.

The role emphasizes Lean processes, data collection, and process improvement. Vaccination is required, and flexibility with shift hours is needed to meet department needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in an office or customer service setting (phone or in person) or call center.
• 1+ years of professional experience in a hospital or medical setting.
• Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications; ability to learn new systems.
• Flu vaccination required and proof provided prior to employment.
• Ability to work 6:30am–3:00pm, Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clinical and department representatives, leadership, payer contacts, consultants, and others as needed.
• Lead special projects, data collection and interpretation, or operational reporting.
• Identify needs or trends and escalate to leadership.
• Maintain monthly statistical information and share with recipients.
• Collaborate with Coding, HEIS, PFS, and other departments to resolve registration issues.
• Understand multiple applications and system integrations; troubleshoot as needed.
