Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Glendale, CA is hiring for a hospital patient registration role, onsite full-time. You will manage admissions, transfers and discharges, update systems, verify insurance, and print essential documents while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The position requires 1+ year experience in revenue-cycle or registration roles, ability to work 4 days a week from 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM, and full onsite availability at Glendale Memorial Hospital.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in hospital patient registration or related roles.
• Ability to work 100% onsite at Glendale Memorial Hospital & Medical Center, 1420 South Central Ave, Glendale, CA 91204.
• Availability to work 4 days a week from 10:00AM - 9:30PM.

Responsibilities

• Access unit leadership guidance to support 24/7 operations.
• Manage admissions, transfers and discharges with teamwork.
• Update IT systems for admissions, transfers and discharges within 5 minutes.
• Correct registration edits and demographic updates as needed.
• Conduct Insurance Eligibility / Benefit Verification via web tools or by phone.
• Print necessary documentation and coordinate with the care facility.
• Notify payers of admissions and upgrades via fax, phone, or electronic means.
• Escalate issues to Financial Clearance staff as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of registration requirements.
• Ensure complete and timely demographic data entry into ADT.
• Communicate with facility or providers for additional information.
• Elevate accounts to leadership when necessary.
• Comply with HIPAA, PHI, ABN, MSP, EMTALA and related regulations.
