Baptist Health is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to manage patient appointments, greet and register patients, and check them in or out. The role also verifies demographic and insurance information and enters it into the system, collects co-pays, and helps prepare daily deposits and reconciliations.
You will relay messages between patients and providers, provide clerical support, and assist with general office duties to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate record keeping.
The Patient Access Coordinator makes patient appointments and reminder calls, greets and registers patients, and checks them in or out. The role verifies demographic and insurance coverage information, enters it into the appropriate system/patient record, collects co‑pays and other payments, and prepares a daily deposit and reconciliation report. The Coordinator receives and accurately relays phone messages to and from providers, logs them appropriately, and provides clerical/secretarial support as needed, including typing correspondence, reports, sorting and delivering mail, processing faxes, and ordering and maintaining supplies.
