Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a patient services specialist to handle scheduling, registration, financial clearance, and billing-related tasks on patient arrival. You will collect and document information, obtain regulatory signatures, and explain financial responsibilities to patients and families.

The role requires accurate data entry into the electronic health record, maintaining patient confidentiality, and collaborating with staff and external agencies to ensure smooth patient flow

Qualifications

• High School/GED or 1–3 months related experience or equivalent
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications
• 1 year of related experience, preferably in medical/financial or customer service

Responsibilities

• Scheduling, registration, and admitting functions; verify insurance and collect data
• Identify patient financial responsibilities; process estimates and Liens
• Post payments and reconcile daily in the ADT system
• Provide positive patient experience; maintain confidentiality
• Respond to inquiries; remain calm in stressful situations
• Adhere to policies; complete mandatory trainings
• Other duties as assigned
