Job summary

Strong communication helps ensure patients understand their responsibilities. You will work with physicians and payors, use ADT and verification systems, and help deliver a positive patient experience while meeting productivity targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience.
• One year of related experience preferred in medical or financial services.
• Experience using a PC and daily software applications.
• Medical terminology and insurance verifications preferred.
• Call/service center experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduling and preregistration; validates demographics and benefits.
• Verifies insurance information via payor contacts, online, or electronic verification.
• Calculates patient financial responsibility, collects liabilities, and posts payments.
• Delivers positive patient experience and maintains relationships with patients and providers.
• Keeps productivity goals and adheres to policies; completes mandatory training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
