Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY seeks a Patient Access Representative to perform front-office duties in a busy OB/GYN clinic. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, register and schedule appointments, collect payments, and help manage patient flow and records with a customer-service mindset.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong computer skills, and clerical experience in a medical office setting. Prior experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer skills required.
• Clerical experience in the medical office setting preferred.
• Other education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors; verify patients' demographic and insurance information.
• Register patients; obtain necessary signatures.
• Determine patients' out-of-pocket expenses; collect and document payments and/or financial counseling as appropriate.
• Schedule appointments; ensure patient flow.
• Answer switchboard; manage medical records.
