Job summary

Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital seeks a full-time Patient Access Representative to greet callers and walk-ins, verify insurance, collect payments, schedule appointments, and maintain patient charts in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• EMR experience preferred.
• Two+ years of related experience preferred, ideally in a clinical setting.
• Friends and Family CPR required; can be obtained upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct callers and walk-ins.
• Answer phones and relay messages.
• Escort patients as needed and set up appointments.
• Verify insurance details and collect payments.
• Assist with paperwork and maintain patient charts.
• Respond to emails and update patient information.
• Complete specialized reports and verify document accuracy.
• Handle incoming/outgoing mail and manage office supplies.
