About the Role

Rothman Orthopaedics is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to join our team. This is a remote position responsible for efficiently handling all incoming telephone calls and triaging calls throughout the organization. Qualified and interested candidates are encouraged to apply.

Job Details
  • Title: Patient Access Coordinator
  • Hours: Mon - Fri: 8am - 5pm (40 hrs/wk)
  • Location: Fully remote (must reside in DE, FL, GA, NC, NJ, PA, SC, or TX)
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • 1+ years of high-volume call center experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred; healthcare experience not required
  • Reliable high-speed internet and Wi-Fi required
Essential Duties
  • Handle inbound calls in a fast-paced environment
  • Be the first point of contact for patients needing assistance
  • Create patient records, triage calls, send messages, or schedule appointments based on patient needs
  • Maintain professionalism and patience during calls
  • Ensure department productivity and customer satisfaction
  • Escalate calls as necessary
  • Answer questions regarding patient appointments
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
  • Follow established policies, procedures, and scripts to meet call-time and quality standards
  • Promote the organization's culture and values
