Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time Registrar to support patient intake at our Camden, NJ location. You will gather and verify patient information, verify benefits, collect payments, and register patients into the hospital system while delivering excellent service.

This role requires 1 year of customer service experience, strong communication, basic typing and computer skills, and Epic system familiarity. Schedule is Mon-Fri 8a-1p, totaling 25 hours per week with an orientation period.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service in a professional setting (excludes retail/food service) preferred.
• Must demonstrate a positive demeanor, have both strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to handle potentially stressful situations and multiple tasks.
• Must have basic typing, computer and/or word processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and enters patient demographic information into the hospital information system.
• Verifies benefits, obtains required authorization.
• Obtains co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and deposit amounts.
• Performs accurate and thorough registrations.
• Is compliant with regulatory guidelines.
• Acts as first contact representative of Virtua by providing excellent customer service.
