Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time Registrar to accurately register patients, verify benefits, and collect payments. You will use the Epic system to enter demographic and insurance data and coordinate with billing when issues arise.

The role requires high school diploma, strong communication, and basic typing skills, with orientation before assignment to the 1st shift. 25 hours/week, on-site position in South Jersey.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service in a professional setting preferred.
• Medical office or admittance experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have basic typing, computer and/or word processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and enters patient demographic information into the hospital information system.
• Verifies benefits, obtains required authorization, and collects co-pays and deductibles.
• Performs accurate registrations and acts as first contact representative.
• Identifies referrals and payment options for financial assistance.
• Provides additional office support including scheduling and filing.
