Mercy is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact, delivering compassionate service while accurately capturing patient data at the Sindelar Imaging/Breast Center.

Responsibilities include scheduling, registration, benefit verification, and financial clearance with meticulous data entry and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years clerical experience and customer service preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred.
• High School diploma required; some college helpful.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the patient’s entrance into Mercy facilities, including scheduling, registration, and pre-certification.
• Verify benefits and obtain financial clearance including pre-visit collection.
• Ensure the most accurate patient data is entered into the patient record with attention to detail.
