Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients at Sindelar Imaging/Breast Center. You will deliver compassionate customer service, verify demographic and insurance information, and route requests in accordance with Mercy Service Standards.

The role requires 1–3 years clerical and customer service experience, a high school diploma, basic computer and 10-key skills, and the ability to work 8:45am–5:15pm with emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years clerical experience and customer service preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred.
• High School diploma required; some college helpful.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact with patients, delivering the Mercy standard of customer service, compassion and professionalism.
• Verify and collect demographic, insurance and payment information as part of patient access duties.
• Perform duties in alignment with Mercy Service Standards and teamwork with clinical and non-clinical staff.
