Job summary

St. Peter's Health Partners in Latham, NY is hiring a Patient Access Concierge for the Outpatient Orthopedics Office. This full-time, day-shift role handles patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification in a phone-based setting at 1182 Troy Schenectady Road.

You will gather demographics, explain financial options, enter data into the hospital system, and assist patients with registration kiosks. Strong communication and familiarity with Microsoft Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; associate degree preferred.
• 1–3 years in hospital/clinic or healthcare financial services or customer service.
• Knowledge of insurance programs and billing processes preferred.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and core Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, data entry and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient identification, demographics, and insurance coverage.
• Accepts point-of-service payments.
• Enters patient information into hospital information systems.
• Directs questions regarding financial liability to appropriate resources.
• Accepts medical authorization or referral forms when appropriate.
• Processes documents to obtain insurance information.
• Provides payment estimates for out-of-pocket costs.
• Educates patients about registration kiosks or online systems.
• Escalates routine issues to Lead Patient Access Concierge.
