Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health in Camden, NJ, is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to serve as frontline contact for incoming patients. You will greet, register, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, and provide general information using AIDET principles.

You will verify demographics and insurance details, perform full registrations, and support outreach through MyChart messaging and confirmations. The role requires standing/walking and flexibility to work at multiple ambulatory sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent registration or billing experience in a medical facility.
• Proficiency in patient registration, scheduling, medical insurance pre-certifications, authorizations and referrals.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; schedule appointments; collect co-pays and balances.
• Verify demographics and insurance information; obtain signatures.
• Assist with patient outreach via MyChart messaging and confirmations.
• Use kiosks/tablets to assist patients on arrival; stand/walk as needed.
• Communicate with multidisciplinary team; uphold mission and values.
• May work at other ambulatory offices based on volume.
