Job summary

UCLA Health's San Luis Obispo Primary & Specialty Care Clinic seeks a Patient Services Representative to support physicians and patients as a front-line liaison. You will help patients access services, coordinate referrals, and ensure smooth communication within the health system.

Your role includes obtaining insurance authorizations and providing follow-up via telephone and EPIC/Care Connect, contributing to a collaborative clinic environment in sunny California.

Qualifications

• Skill in setting priorities reflecting job responsibilities.
• Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with Faculty, Staff, Administration and patients from various social, cultural and economic backgrounds.
• Ability to creatively integrate competing demands into a productive working environment.
• Skill in verbal communications to clearly convey complex problems in both formal and informal situations.
• Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with a patient population in varying degrees of health.
• Ability to provide coverage for Community Clinics as assigned.
• Knowledge of specific specialty practice and workflows.
• Familiarity and knowledge of authorization process & managed care programs.
• Knowledge of hospital computer systems and general administrative software.

Responsibilities
