UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator in Phoenix to deliver front-office patient services and support care coordination. The role involves registering patients, verifying insurance, processing referrals, and collecting payments in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of customer service experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work early morning shifts. A sign-on bonus is offered to external applicants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1+ years of customer service experience in hospital/office/phone support.
• Ability to work Monday–Wednesday 6:00am–6:00pm, Thursday 6:00am–12:00pm.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographics and insurance details.
• Enter/verify patient data in real-time.
• Process referrals, pre-certifications, and pre-authorizations.
• Verify coverage and create price estimates; reverifications as needed.
• Collect co-pays and discuss out-of-pocket costs.
• Identify and collect outstanding balances from prior visits.
• Coordinate scheduling prior to hospital discharge.
• Answer patient inquiries with compassion and professionalism.
• Generate and analyze patient data reports and follow up on discrepancies.
