Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Patient Access Representative to deliver patient-centered front-office support. You will greet patients, verify eligibility, collect co-pays, process registrations, and route information to the appropriate teams in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Position includes 4 weeks of paid training with hours 8am to 4:30pm or 7am to 3:30pm, Monday - Friday, onsite at 350 W. Thomas Rd, Phoenix, AZ.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of customer service experience in a hospital/office setting.
• Onsite work required at 350 W. Thomas Rd, Phoenix, AZ.
• Legal work authorization and ability to work a standard 8:30am–5:00pm schedule.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and confirm demographics; verify insurance eligibility/benefits.
• Enter/verify patient data in computer systems in real time.
• Process referrals, pre-certifications, and pre-authorizations as required.
• Collect co-pays and discuss patient financial responsibilities.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with provider offices.
• Respond to patient inquiries with compassionate, clear communication.
• Generate and analyze patient data reports for accuracy.
