Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking non-licensed clinical and clerical support to assist multiple service areas, including patient intake, care coordination, scheduling, and communication for patient logistics and care teams.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing healthcare support experience preferred.
• Ability to enter and retrieve data in EMR systems accurately.
• Understanding of medical terminology and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Accepts/ Facilitates patient/caregiver communication as assigned.
• Facilitates care coordination including transportation, scheduling, and care instructions.
• Completes patient intake according to workflow.
• Uses algorithms to determine escalation needs and informs care team as needed.
• Maintains professional relationships with care team members.
• Participates in process improvement and professional development.
• Communicates with providers to track patient status and care events.
• Enters/retrieves information in EMR as per policy and data collection.
• Performs other tasks as directed by supervisor.
