Job summary

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate Program.
• 0-1 year experience in an office or ambulatory clinic setting as a Front Office Medical Assistant.
• Knowledgeable in medical terminology and able to interface with physicians and staff.
• Proficient with EHR and MS Office applications.
• Excellent communication skills; English/Spanish proficiency.
• Comfortable with computers and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Registration/Check-in and check-out; greet and schedule patients.
• Answer calls; provide benefit information and direct to departments.
• Prepare charts; review appointments for accuracy and provider name.
• Record vital signs and immunizations; assist with exams as needed.
• Maintain patient privacy and safety in line with policies.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures and coordinate care.
