Job summary

St. Luke's Health System is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to be the first point of contact for patients entering our hospitals or clinics.

You will manage registration, scheduling, and referrals, and discuss financial options and insurance coverage with patients and caregivers in person or by phone. The role emphasizes professional, timely, and accurate written and verbal communication, using various technologies to support workflows and contribute to a positive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to explain insurance coverage and financial options.

Responsibilities

• Registration, scheduling, and referral coordination for patients.
• Discussions on financial options and/or explanations of insurance coverage, including authorizations, verifications, and estimates.
• Use a variety of technologies, tools and resources to support departmental workflows.
• Other duties as assigned
