Job summary

PRISM Vision Group seeks a Patient Service Representative for an onsite, non-exempt role at Millenium Eye Care in Freehold, NJ. You will handle inbound/outbound patient interactions, scheduling, registrations and revenue cycle tasks, with occasional travel to other locations.

Strong communication, accuracy and HIPAA compliance are essential in a fast-paced eye care office. Compensation range is $18-$31.89/hr based on experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED.
• 2+ years experience in a patient-facing healthcare or customer service function.
• Excellent verbal and written English; bilingual a plus.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem resolution and customer service skills.
• Cash handling and math skills.
• Interpersonal skills with diverse populations.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to use multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete full registration for patients requesting appointments with adherence to policies.
• Initiate pre-registration and ensure demographic insurance info is accurate.
• Verify insurance information, benefits and referrals.
• Obtain ID and insurance cards and validate identity and coverage.
• Adhere to HIPAA standards and patient privacy.
• Ensure smooth patient flow through the clinical care process.
• Provide information on appointments and payment policies.
