Job summary

University of Utah Health is seeking a patient-focused front desk advocate at the Farmington Health Center to greet and register patients, verify insurance, collect payments, and support clinic operations. You will guide patients through MyChart and kiosk check-ins and coordinate basic appointments with care teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greets and registers patients in Epic, verifies insurance, updates demographics and collects payments.
• Communicates clearly with clinic staff, providers, and care teams to support a smooth process.
• Schedules appointments and follow-up visits, coordinating with doctors, radiology, and labs.
• Manages phone communications, voicemails, and telephone encounters efficiently.
• Reconciles appointment statuses and cash drawers, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Assists patients with MyChart and kiosks self-registration and guides forms and releases.
• Provides wayfinding support and helps refine scheduling for accuracy.
