Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Registration Specialist to support the Enterprise Revenue Cycle at St Lukes, WI. The role involves creating the patient’s initial electronic health record, registering patients, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant care processes.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to assist patients and coordinate with physicians and support staff.

• Knows insurance basics and discusses financial information and obligations with patients; refers to Financial Advocates as needed.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, EMTALA, and patient rights regulations.
• Schedules appointments and provides appointment details and preparation instructions.
• Greets patients and visitors, provides information, and assists with transportation or interpreter services as needed.
• Monitors EHR work queues and follows department processes.
