Job summary

The St. Claire Regional Med Center seeks a Patient Registration Representative to ensure accurate patient registration and billing data after clinical encounters.

You will review, correct, and submit claims to support timely reimbursement and coordinate with patients, payers, and internal departments to obtain missing information. Responsibilities include maintaining registration and billing workflows, reducing denials, supporting revenue cycle KPIs, and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of experience in patient access, registration, billing, or revenue cycle operations preferred.
• Experience in reviewing and submitting claims and resolving data issues is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a queue or worklist of accounts for registration or billing follow-up.
• Review and correct claims denied due to registration or data issues.
• Contact patients to obtain missing information and clarify details.
• Document communications and update patient records with accuracy.
• Collaborate with employers, insurance carriers, and attorneys to obtain required documentation.
• Meet KPIs for claim resolution, registration completeness, and denial reduction.
