Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in patient financial services or insurance collecting is preferred.

• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Proficient with common office software is required.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required for certain Banner sites.

Responsibilities

• Handle registration/check-in processes and data entry, providing patients with needed information and intake forms.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-certifications, referrals, and authorizations.
• Calculate and collect patient liability and explain financial policies and resources.
• Enter payments and reconcile daily transactions; balance cash drawer and prepare deposits.
• Schedule office visits and procedures, maximize reimbursement, and confirm upcoming appointments.
• Communicate with patients, care teams, and external partners to support patient flow.
• Assist with patient records requests and adhere to policies and privacy laws.
