Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Night Shift Patient Access/Registration specialist to collect and verify patient data, ensure insurance coordination, and discuss billing expectations. You will confirm demographic and insurance details, obtain required authorizations, and guide patients on payment options.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or high school diploma with 2 years of customer service experience.
• Patient Access Certification preferred.
• One year of relevant experience in a medical office or hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter and update patient demographic and insurance information in registration systems daily.
• Verify insurance using Real Time Eligibility and obtain authorizations as required.
• Explain and secure copies of insurance cards and IDs; scan into imaging documents.
• Discuss Advanced Directives and collect copies for patient records.
• Review regulatory forms and inform patients of notices and billing details.
• Collect and post patient payments; inform patients of financial liability and arrange payments.
• Provide service recovery at the point of service.
