Job summary

AdventHealth in Kansas is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to support registration, insurance verification and billing tasks across weekend shifts. You will interact with patients, collect demographics, and liaise with clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of healthcare services.

Strong customer service, familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, and knowledge of HIPAA and CMS requirements are essential. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus where needed.

Qualifications

Excellent customer service skills with patients and staff.
Knowledge of insurance benefits and healthcare terminology.
Ability to navigate EHR/EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred when relevant.

Responsibilities

Perform Medicare compliance reviews and patient billing tasks.
Register patients and collect demographics and insurance details.
Coordinate with departments to ensure smooth patient experience.
Provide coverage for PBX and cashiering duties as needed.
Document payer decisions and payment arrangements.
