Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Register patients by collecting demographic, billing and insurance information and entering it into registration/billing systems.
• Obtain pre-certification and authorizations when applicable.
• Prepare consent forms and notices, obtain signatures and electronic consent to treat and for patient financial obligations.
• Collect deposits, co-pays, deductibles and patient liabilities; provide receipts and record payments.
• Prepare patient identification armband.
• Balance daily receipts and cash drawer; follow up on system flags as needed.
• Collect information for coverage and complete necessary paperwork; perform medical necessity checks and ASNs.
• Schedule, reschedule or cancel patient appointments per hospital workflows; verify order completeness.
