Responsibilities

• Ensure cases move through the process in compliance with requirements and procedures; provide the best level of service and quality.
• Conductions benefit investigations by making outbound calls to payers to verify insurance benefit information and navigate reimbursement barriers.
• Verify patient benefits and document coverage, cost share and access/provider options.
• Identify coverage restrictions and details on how to expedite patient access.
• Document and initiate prior authorization processes and appeals.
• Report reimbursement trends or delays in coverage to management.
• Act as a liaison for field representatives, health care providers and patients.
