Actalent is seeking a Patient Authorization Representative to support physician offices by processing referrals and obtaining insurance authorizations. The role requires EPIC proficiency, strong customer service, and experience with patient registration and scheduling.

This on-site contract position in Liberty Lake, WA, operates on a day shift with typical hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The environment emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and compliance within a health system.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented role supporting patient access.
• Experience with patient registration and scheduling in a healthcare setting.
• EPIC experience required, including use of work queues for referrals and authorizations.
• Proficient handling of a multi-line phone system.
• Ability to organize, scan, fax, and manage electronic documents.
• Strong attention to compliance policies and procedures.
• Capable of working collaboratively with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Process external and internal provider referrals per procedures.
• Obtain insurance authorizations with complete information.
• Scan and fax documents to support referral workflows.
• Maintain patient and referral records accurately and timely.
• Respond to written/electronic correspondence about referrals and authorizations.
• Answer and manage calls with professional customer service.
• Follow compliance standards and collaborate to resolve issues.
• Use EPIC work queues to track and complete tasks.
• Assist with other duties to support patient access and referrals.
