Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health is seeking a Patient Access Auditor / Trainer to ensure accurate patient registration data and support revenue cycle success. This role audits registration activity, verifies insurance and demographic details, researches discrepancies, and educates staff across the organization on best practices.

The position emphasizes training registrars, maintaining regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional patient service while supporting downtime procedures and system

Qualifications

• Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of experience in patient registration or patient access.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance regulations preferred.
• Strong customer service and accuracy focus in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Audit daily patient registration for accurate demographic, guarantor, and insurance information.
• Research and resolve incomplete or missing registration information.
• Contact patients, employers, and other parties to verify registration and insurance details.
• Review insurance eligibility and coordinate benefits using online resources.
• Educate staff on insurance requirements, regulatory compliance and HIPAA.
• Train registrars on registration workflows and patient access procedures.
• Cross-train and provide coverage for registration functions as needed.
• Maintain a strong focus on customer service and patient satisfaction.
