Qualifications

• 6+ months of customer service experience in an office or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work a per diem schedule and 16 hours per pay period.
• Work standard daytime hours, Mon-Fri during training.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patient in person.
• Collects demographic and insurance information.
• Check-ins and interviews patients to complete paperwork.
• Directs patient to appointment or procedure.
• May assist in scheduling add-ons.
• Document issues and resolutions in the EMR.
• Verify insurance eligibility and explain benefits.
• Collect co-pays or deductibles; explain financial assistance.
• Screen and approve patients for financial assistance programs.
• Provide customer service for inbound/outbound calls.
