Job summary

Optum, in partnership with Allina Health, seeks a Patient Access Representative Associate in Fridley, MN. You will greet patients, collect demographic and insurance details, verify coverage, and guide them through registration.

Role requires 6+ months of customer service experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Evening shifts (2:30pm–11:00pm) and alternating weekends are required. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or related settings.
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work 3-4 weekdays per week from 2:30pm - 11:00pm.
• Ability to work every other Saturday & Sunday.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patient in person.
• Collects demographic and insurance information.
• Checks in and interviews patients to complete appropriate paperwork.
• Directs patient to their appointment or procedure.
• May assist in scheduling add-on appointments.
• Documents issues and resolutions in the medical record.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits information.
• Obtains cost information and explains information to patient.
