Qualifications

• 6+ months of customer service experience in an office or hospital setting.
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patient in person and collects demographic and insurance information.
• Checks in and interviews patient to complete appropriate paperwork and enters information into EMR.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits information for payers; explains information to patient.
• Collects co-pays and deductibles; assists with financial assistance applications and referrals.
• Provides customer service for inbound and outbound calls and may mentor other staff.
