Job summary

Optum, in partnership with Allina Health, seeks a Patient Access Representative in Faribault, MN. You will be the first contact for patients, guiding them through registration, insurance, and financial needs while delivering compassionate service.

Earn a $1,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants. The role entails 40 hours per week with occasional weekends and opportunities for growth in a diverse, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of customer service experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Daytime hours Monday–Friday for the first 3 weeks after hire.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients, directing them to appointments and procedures.
• Collect and verify demographic, insurance, and benefits information; obtain signatures.
• Check in and interview patients to complete paperwork and financial assistance requests.
• Explain costs, collect co-pays/deductibles, and counsel on financial assistance programs.
• Resolve claim issues or registration errors and document in electronic medical records.
• Register accounts and manage work queues using available tools.
