Qualifications

• High School degree or GED is required.
• Experience in a fast-paced customer-driven environment.
• Ability to operate multiple computer applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Medical terminology knowledge within first year of employment.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs hospital-based registration in an on-site patient-facing setting.
• Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Coordinates care with TH ancillary departments while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
• Collects patient demographics and insurance information; verifies eligibility and collects copays/deposits/deductibles.
• Uses scripting to ensure compliance with legal and financial requirements and explains insurance benefits.
