Req #: 95684
The Patient Access Associate I is the first level of a three-level career ladder within Central Registration & Admitting. The Patient Access Associate serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors arriving at the hospital. While this is a non-clinical role, the Associate works closely with clinical care teams and at times will complete Access functions at the bedside or within the clinical care environment. The associate is responsible for accurately identifying and registering patients and will provide customer service support for visitors and families. Central Registration & Admitting team members admit, check in and register patients of all ages and backgrounds and are exposed to varying levels of acuity, disease and sensitive patient and visitor situations. Work is performed in a high volume, schedule dependent environment.
This role provides coverage for open shifts due to PTO, callouts, and fluctuating volumes, with hours that vary week to week based on departmental needs and are not guaranteed. Candidates must be flexible and willing to pick up shifts as they become available, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
