Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Patient Registration Representative in Sanford, ME (On-Site). This entry-level role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, guiding them through the healthcare experience from arrival through registration and identification.

You will work with clinical teams at the front desk and sometimes at the bedside, handling registrations and supporting families with care and professionalism in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience: Related healthcare or customer service preferred.
  • Computer and data entry experience with MS Word, email, and internet.
  • Ability to work with electronic systems and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for patients and visitors.
  • Guide them through registration and patient identification.
  • Support clinical teams at front desk and bedside as needed.
  • Provide compassionate, professional service in a fast-paced setting.

Patient Registration Representative- Sanford, ME (On-Site)
Schedule: Friday and Saturday 6:45 am - 7:15 pm

$1,800 sign-on bonus available (prorated for part-time).

Not eligible: per diem, current employees, or former employees within 6 months.

Join a supportive, close-knit team in Sanford, Maine-just a short drive to Southern Maine's beaches, lakes, and outdoor recreation.

In this entry-level role, you'll be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, helping guide them through their healthcare experience from the moment they arrive. You'll work alongside clinical teams-at the front desk and sometimes at the bedside-handling registration, patient identification, and supporting families with care and professionalism.

You’ll gain experience in a fast-paced hospital setting, working with diverse patient populations and real-time care environments.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Related experience in healthcare or customer service is preferred.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Computer and data entry experience is required with Microsoft Word, e-mail, and internet communication, as well as the ability to work accurately and effectively with electronic systems.

The pay range for this position is $20.27to $24.36 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
