Job summary

Cencora in California is seeking a Patient Services Liaison to serve as the primary contact for ambulatory pharmacy access and affordability services. You will collaborate with clinic staff and physicians to refer patients to the appropriate pharmacy and support timely access to medication therapy.

This on-site role in Lodi and Clearlake involves processing prior authorizations, securing patient assistance, educating providers and patients, coordinating with payers, and contributing to KPI

Qualifications

• Retail pharmacy technician experience 1-3 years.
• Active pharmacy technician licensure / certification in the corresponding state.

Responsibilities

• Provide liaison services for patients needing high-cost retail prescriptions and infusion therapies.
• Process prior authorizations and route prescriptions to the correct pharmacy.
• Coordinate communication among patients, providers, staff, pharmacies and payers.
• Offer expertise in retail pharmacy access and infusion therapy processing.
• Interface with staff and leadership to drive process improvements for patient access.
• Serve as primary contact for high-cost prescription access and affordability.
• Maintain clear communication to stakeholders and document in EHR and dispensing systems.
• Educate providers and staff on prescription fulfillment value.
• Deliver world-class customer service and timely task execution.
• Coordinate delivery of prescriptions with client pharmacy.
• Contribute to KPI reporting for quality improvement.
• Participate in meetings and lead discussions on prescription access.
• Support clinic during hours and extended hours as needed to ensure patients receive medications.
• Provide backup coverage for clients and patients.
• Work in clinic and remote locations as needed.
• Provide high-level support in both settings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
