Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Patient Services Liaison, Prior Authorization to operate onsite at Adventist Health Castle. You will be the primary contact for patient services, coordinating benefits verification, prior authorizations, and communication with clinic staff to ensure timely medication access.

You will build strong client relationships and collaborate with the centralized Patient Service team to optimize service delivery.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in benefits verification, prior authorization, medical billing, medical office administration, social work, medical records, patient financial services, pharmacy, nursing or similar fields.
• Prefer prior client account management experience or other health care experience.
• Pharmacy technician certification with a national organization (PTCB) or CMA or comparable certification required at hire.
• Knowledge of health care insurance, prior authorization and/or coding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Navigate the health care system to achieve prescription fulfillment and improve patient outcomes.
• Assess, develop and recommend the best method of providing specialty pharmacy services.
• Serve as the initial contact for all client specialty prescriptions; handle marketing, prior authorization, EMR and documentation.
• Influence physician and clinic staff to refer patients to the preferred specialty pharmacy provider; promote value of the pharmacy.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clinic staff, physicians, pharmacy and hospital contacts.
• Deliver professional presentations and educational meetings to clinic staff and hospital contacts.
• Use onsite presence to implement process improvements for better customer experience.
• Work extended hours as needed to ensure patients receive medications and meet objectives.
