Job summary

Providence is seeking a Patient Admissions Coordinator to support on-site registration and arrival for scheduled and unscheduled visits. The role includes gathering demographic and insurance information, handling patient liability, and performing financial clearance duties under the PAS supervisor.

You will greet patients professionally and ensure accurate documentation in compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree in healthcare or business, 3 years in Patient

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in healthcare or business administration.
• 3 years of experience within Patient Access of Business office setting.
• Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
• 3 years of Utilization of medical terminology in job setting.
• Knowledge in medical billing codes.
• 1 year of Knowledge of Epic Applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients during on-site registration and arrival for scheduled and unscheduled visits and complete financial clearance functions.
• Greet and serve patients in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive encounters.
• Collect accurate demographic information, insurance information, and patient liability at the time of service.
• Adhere to regulation and compliance requirements and guidelines and document timely and accurately.
