Job summary

Hillsboro Medical Center is looking for an Admitting Representative who welcomes patients, assists with registration, and verifies insurance details to ensure smooth clinical flow. You will collect co-pays and deposits, verify demographics, and communicate with patients in a professional manner.

This role may float to multiple locations, including ER or switchboard, as needed. Preferred candidates have 6 months in a medical office setting with high patient contact and CHAA certification; EMR

Qualifications

• Six months of medical office experience with high patient contact.
• CHAA certification required.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately completes admissions documentation per policy.
• Obtains signatures on registration materials and collects co-pays or deposits.
• Registers patients per physician orders and verifies insurance information.
• Maintains patient demographics in the system and scans IDs as needed.
• Provides courteous service to patients and visitors and supports department meetings.
