Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC Arcadia Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Representative to interview incoming patients (inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department) and create accurate admission records. You will collect data, manage payments, and coordinate with nursing units and ancillary departments to direct patients to the proper destination.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• BLS certification and M.A.B. certification expected or obtained within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients or guests, addressing requests professionally.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Maintain HIPAA, EMTALA, and related regulatory compliance in daily tasks.
• Explain financial responsibilities and collect deposits/payments as needed.
• Document financial arrangements in patient accounts and coordinate with Admitting/Business Office.
