Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Admitting Representative to manage insurance notification, verification, and authorization to secure hospital accounts. You will coordinate with physicians, hospital staff, and insurers to ensure accounts are secured before admission and follow up within 24 hours for non-scheduled cases.

The role requires strong communication, 35 WPM typing, and familiarity with medical terminology.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-3 years of experience in patient access, billing, cash collections, insurance and/or pre-certification OR 3 years directly related experience in a hospital.
• Typing speed of at least 35 WPM preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• CPAR or CHAA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform insurance notification, verification, and authorization to secure accounts.
• Coordinate with referring physician/hospital staff and insurance company to ensure accounts are secured prior to admission (and within 24 hours for follow-up).
• Communicate with patients to explain financial requirements and collect deposits/deductibles as needed.
• Document thoroughly according to standards and inform management of insecure accounts.
• Provide courteous customer service to patients and hospital staff at all times.
