Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee the Laboratory's operations under the Director. You will ensure safe, efficient, and compliant performance, including point-of-care testing and offsite areas.

Collaborating with nursing, administrative, medical staff, and others, you will drive quality improvement, staff development, and patient care initiatives in support of the hospital's mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or closely related field required.
• 5 years clinical experience with at least 2 years in supervisory roles, preferably in an acute care hospital setting.
• Certification in medical technology and ASCP/AMT/AAB certification required for Laboratory management.
• Histology/Pathology management certifications (HTL/HT/CT) required for respective areas.

Responsibilities

• Oversee departmental operations of the Laboratory and ensure safe, efficient, and quality performance standards.
• Oversee oversight and compliance of point-of-care testing and affiliated offsite areas.
• Monitor operations and collaborate with nursing, administrative, medical, and other staff to coordinate patient care activities and drive improvement.
