Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee departmental operations under the Director, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant lab performance across on-site and affiliated offsite areas.

You will lead administrative duties, monitor quality metrics, and collaborate with nursing, medical staff and administration to support the facilities mission and deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
• Master's in Business Administration or Health Administration preferred.
• 5 years clinical experience with at least 2 years supervisory.
• Certification in medical technology and ASCP/AMT/AAB; AAB provisional not accepted.
• Histology certifications for Anatomic Pathology required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee departmental operations of the Laboratory.
• Ensure compliance of point of care testing and affiliated offsite areas.
• Monitor safety, efficiency and quality performance standards.
• Collaborate with nursing, administrative, medical staff to coordinate patient care.
