Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Diagnostic Data Entry Specialist to support pathologists by accurately entering diagnostic codes and orders into the LIS and generating corresponding diagnostic information paragraphs.

The role requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a professional lab environment with regular training on SOPs and compliance workflows.

Qualifications

• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with strong communication, interpersonal, organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous medical data entry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter diagnostic codes (alpha or alphanumeric) and orders into the LIS for access by the team.
• Produce a macro paragraph of diagnostic information from codes.
• Close the case to move it to the pathologist for review and sign-out when appropriate.
• Follow SOPs and Laboratory Compliance workflows and complete required training.
